Internet e le nuove tecnologie hanno solo aperto le possibilità di realizzare prodotti di qualità simile al lavoro professionale (mantenedo un livello di “sbattimento” alto per riuscire in ciò, sia ben chiaro) ed internet ed i social media sono il canale “libero” attraverso il quale possiamo far veicolare i nostri contenuti. Non tutti avranno successo, anzi.
Ciò che è cambiato rispetto agli anni 60 è proprio questo: la possibilità di realizzazione e diffusione di contenuti di un certo livello tecnico/realizzativo ampliata. Il fattore vincente, però, è e rimane la creatività e l’artisticità (in questi casi) del prodotto che ne determinano il successo o meno; esattamente come negli anni 60.

Per esempio il periodo del bum industriale degli anni 60, quando “l’egoismo” della gente era giustificato da bisogni che potremmo distinguere come nobili: avere il bagno in casa, il riscaldamento con i termosifani, il salotto o una automobile e via dicendo… La passione per il fare concretizzave le idee e il lavoro aveva indirizzi e regole, anche etiche, condivise da tutti.
Il cosumo, come allora, è il nettare per le economie di mercato in cui i prodotti ne diventano gli attori protagonisti con un valore economico direttamente proporzionale alle proprie caratteristiche peculiari. Oggi c’è una sostanziale differenza non trascurabile, secondo me: i nostri “bisogni” non giustificano il nostro egoismo, manifestato per lo più per soddisfare delle pseudo-esigenze. Per ovviare al calo dei consumi conseguente alla progressiva saturazione dei mercati, è stato introdotto il pagamento a rate che ha drogato il mercato; la comunicazione ha adottato argomenti che hanno alterato sicuramente il nostro naturale buon senso, a discapito delle nostre innumerevoli peculiarità distintive.

questa commistione fra consumo e produzione (o come la mette marco, questa forma di consumo intreprendente), costituisce uno dei tratti più difficili da digerire per la generazione che ci ha preceduto.

E da un certo punto di vista concordo: se non è utilizzata a livello specialistico (sottolineo), la parola “consumo” è proprio brutta.

L’”insofferenza” di Bauman per la società liquida è dovuta al fatto che il consumo, nell’individuo medio, avviene ancora in maniera abbastanza cieca e legata a schemi del secolo scorso.
Dobbiamo crescere. Crescere (grazie anche a mezzi come internet, e qui Bauman a mio avviso sbaglia) perchè aumentando la qualità del “consumatore” esso può diventare un “trasformatore”.
Il discorso è comunque complesso. Molto complesso. Anche e soprattutto dal punto di vista sociologico e antropologico. Molti commenti fanno riferimento a “passato/futuro”. Ricordiamo quanto sia necessario fare grande attenzione se si giudica un qualcosa “nel tempo”, in quanto il tempo stesso è un relativo e soggettivo. Sia il rivolgersi nostalgico ad un fantomatico “passato in cui si stava meglio” che l’incondizionato guardare avanti, sono atteggiamenti troppo spesso inconsciamente influenzati, in maniera decisiva, dall’appartenenza a un determinato modo di pensare socio-ulturale (Zerubavel, Le mappe del tempo, 2007)!
Interessante, infine, l’analisi della “frattura culturale” tra le generazioni di “consumatori-trasformatori-prosumer” di cui si parla negli ultimi commenti. Come intervenire?? Lascio aperta la domanda.
E’ la domanda che crea l’offerta, o è l’offerta che crea la domanda?? Questo è il classico caso in cui la soluzione sta nel mezzo: il mercato dovrebbe essere alimentato da un lato con “prodotti” che soddisfano esigenze provenienti da chiare manifestazioni di bisogno, e dall’altro lato con “prodotti” che integrano la pretesa di creare nuove potenziali esigenze. Il difficile, o vera e propria utopia, sta nel trovare un punto di equilibrio; l’essere umano -punto di riferimento- costituisce paradossalmente il problema e nello stesso tempo anche la soluzione.
Credo che la complessita della faccenda stia sul fatto di impegnarci molto di più nel capire quali siano i nostri limiti, ovviamente intesi da un punto di vista individuale, e agire di conseguenza.
L’accelerazione impressa al processo evolutivo degli ultimi vent’anni non trova delle giustificazioni plausibili con le nostre esigenze, bensì spiegabile solo ed eclusivamente con la manifestazione di un egoismo forzato, troppo forzato.
